The 19th Commonwealth Games may have been thrown into further confussion after it emerged that the winner of the 100m womens final event - Nigeria's Osayemi Oludamola - was being seen by organisers of this year's event following an alledged drug test failure.
The particular event had earlier on suffered a set back when the Australian winner, Sally Pearson had the gold medal taken away from her. The elctronic timing system gave Ms Pearson an indicated false start with a reaction time of 0.071 seconds.
Today's decision, if upheld, could mean the gold medal medal will now go to Natasha Mayers, of St Vincent and the Grenadines, while Katherine Endacott of England, who ran a personal best of 11.44sec, will be promoted to silver although she finished fourth in the competition.
