A total of 43 people - 39 Kenyans, 2 Chinese and 2 Koreans who were aboard a 241-tonne Kenyan registered fishing trawler were all seized on October 9, 2010 after the ship they were travelling in was attacked and captured by the Somali pirates. The incident happened in the Kenyan territory off the Lamu Island.
